Shauna Pickett-Gordon co-directs and writes arrangements for the Peninsula Scottish Fiddlers. She has accompanied many of the great fiddlers in North America, and is the featured pianist in the annual concerts of the Scottish Fiddlers of Los Angeles. Trained in classical piano and voice, experienced in directing choirs, she creates music in various styles. She also enjoys accompanying silent movies. Her piano is a Kawai parlor grand, and the duo's recordings were made in her living room overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
The duo's original compositions are featured on their two CDs.
In addition to music for listening, The Peat-Fire Flame plays music for Scottish country dancing. |
